Happy Fourth +

So first I need to apologize to all of you who may be on the edge of your seat waiting for my next blogpost, self deprecating humor intended. Since my daughter’s birthday it has been really busy both personally and professionally. I will not bore you with the details of the ins and outs of my social and professional calendar but let’s just say the weekdays are used to recuperate from the weekends!

Since this has been the case I am going to be sharing a few images with you to show some of what has been taking my time.

So being that it is our nations birthday weekend I have decided to share an image I took some time ago, but I think is very appropriate. Please excuse the composition but this image was taken “blindly”, meaning I shot it without looking through the viewfinder. As a matter of fact don’t tell my car insurer but it was taken while I was stopped at a red light. The intersecting condensation trails left by some planes was striking especially with the flag in the frame.

Next I want to share with you something that I do not often do, but it was a very poignant moment in my family’s life and I would like to share it with you here. My daughter performed in her first dance recital recently and she was more than willing to pose for a pseudo photo shoot, being that she was all dressed up, afterward. I must admit that due to my ignorance or lack of foresight in this matter I did not realize how important this entire dance school and performance was to my daughter’s development. All I can say is when I finally saw my little girl on stage it hit me like a ton of bricks, how brave she is and how much she has matured in the time she has been in this class. To actually be able to refrain from running off of that stage screaming in fear from the crowd of 100 or so spectators, most of whom she did not know, I think is amazing! I am so happy that we were diligent enough to make sure that she made it to almost every class. Anyway this wasn’t meant to be some kind of affirmation of dance school or anything, just my feeling about the process and the event it culminated in. Enjoy the pic.

Happy Birthday Baby!

Recently we celebrated our daughters 5th Birthday. While it was mind racking and very hectic ultimately she was happy and had a great time as well as all of our guests. I made some time to take a few pictures one of my favorites is featured here.

These are actually custom made dresses for some home made dolls that were decorated by the girls. They all had a wonderful time decorating them and we saw some very creative finished products.
